Mark Cidade:
I'm guessing you picked "Standard Deviation" instead of "Mode".
Jason Mauss:
Which one did you get wrong, do you know?
Ron Krauter:
I got 9/10. Did not know the answer to the one about the sequence of numbers. Now I know!
Steve Majewski:
I'm all smart and stuff. 10/10, and I didn't even have to study. Eat that you lousy 8th graders!!!
Chris Sells:
I missed the one about median, average and mode (I didn't want to cheat and look it up : ).
Shawn A. Van Ness:
10/10! The median/mode question is a process of elimation thing. The median is exactly 3. The average is... I dunno, but clearly something > 2. SD is... way too hard to ask an 8th grader (or anyone else) to calculate in one's head -- it's clearly a red herring (although it is probably close to 2).
Kim Gräsman:
Yeah, I used process of elimination as well... But I have no idea what 'mode' is -- does anyone know?
- Kim
Edward James:
Mode is the most common number in the sequence.
Josh:
9/10. I got tripped up on the whole number vs. integer. I know integer is correct, but I saw whole number first, and believed it to be correct. After searching around the internet, I found that both About.com and wikipedia agree with me that "whole number" CAN refer to negative numbers. But we could all be wrong, and since there is controversy, I'll accept that integer was the "better" answer.
Jingye:
Hey, I could tell my collegues I am as good as Chris Sells, the guy wrote 'Windows Forms Porgramming' book.
Must sucked at the median/mode question.
Eli Allen:
For #6 they should ask for what is the most specific term that is aplicable. Mode is a form of average
Tim:
MOde = Most Often... Man! what were you doing in 8th grade?
