Hey, yo... MySpace has, for me anyway, turned out to be a pretty cool app. I know what you mean about all the crap that goes with it (all the irritating, and *really* bad bands that message you), but I've also met some really cool people and found a convenient way to keep in touch with old friends.
And, for some reason, I actually like it. I hated Friendster and Orkut, but MySpace has "something" about it that makes it work.
So don't be too quick to dismiss it.

So why don't you have one of those background tiles that scre you're eyes like so many myspace users - I saw one a few weeks back that was an animated wallpaper off star wars and I almost fell over after a few minutes with eye problems.

At TechEd in Boston, I roomed with a (recently married) Vertigo co-worker who had a MySpace page. He showed me all the "friends" on his page. He pointed out one who was an ex-stripper. So, hypothesis confirmed.. again.
