I'm with Mike: Gentlemen Prefer SharpReader
Here. Mike Sax says exactly what I was thinking. After having high hopes for FeedDemon [1], I *much* prefer SharpReader. Luke hit it out of the park on his first try and nobody's yet come close.

Craig Andera:
I could never use a separte newsreader now that I've got everything in Outlook with NewsGator. Clearly, this is a matter of personal choice.
Phil:
The only downside to SharpReader is the memory footprint. With around 3000 unread posts, it is eating up about 83Mb which is more than Outlook (18Mb) is using with my 1100 emails. So, it looks like sharpreader is using over 4x the amount of memory as my Outlook...
Paul:
I'm the same: I had high hopes for FeedDemon given TopStyle, etc., but I boomeranged straight back to SharpReader. It is neat, clean, and generally works the way I do. FeedDemon, on the other hand, just frustrates me right now. Things are trivial -- reading all feeds in one agglomeration; deleting read notes as I go; etc. -- are either tricky or impossible in FeedDemon, but simple in SharpReader.
Jeff Key:
I, too, have found the simplicity of SharpReader a huge asset over FeedDemon. Unfortunately, a number of SharpReader's context menus are unorthodox and have caused literally hours of frustration. For example, right-clicking on an item in a list gives you options for that item AND options for ALL of the items in that folder. I don't know how many times I've deleted everything or marked everything read in a folder when I've really wanted to just perform that action on a single item. The tree context menus are similarly awkward. I wrote the author about these concerns and never heard back, so I looked elsewhere.
