Other ENTJs

Here. In addition to ChrisAn and I, Harrison Ford is an ENTJ, as are FDR, Nixon, Steve Martin, David Letterman and Jim Carrey. This is so true: "ENTJs are often 'larger than life' in describing their projects or proposals... In combination with the natural propensity for filibuster, our hero can make it very difficult for the customer to decline... Experience teaches many ENTJs that restraint may often be the better part of valor, lest one find oneself victorious but alone."

Don't you find those J-types a little too serious and conservative? I mean who would ever want to be categorized as "Sees the need for most rules".

Time to loosen up you Chrises!

Anything other than ENTP does not make much sense to me ;-)

Hey Chris:

ENTJs are fine for sales types ("evangelists"). However, if you want great software developers you're better off with INTJs (like me :). Check it out: http://www.typelogic.com/intj.html

Spooky. I'm still upset that I have the same personality type as Jim Carrey...

James Snell (jasnell@snellspace.com):

INTJ's do tend to be better capable at developing the idea, ENTJ's are experts at selling it. The key to an ENTJ's success, however, is not only their ability to sell a thing, but also to understand it. They can grasp the big picture and understand exactly why it's worth selling. INTJ's tend to be too focused on the idea itself. They simply don't care if others buy into the idea or not, they know it's good and are willing to run with it regardless of what anybody else thinks about it.

Hi ChrisAn ,
I was reading about various personality types and turns out that I am an ENTJ , looks like you also are. Now I know why I admire Harrison Ford , Jim Carrey and you.
Thankfully I now know what my problem is - I just can not take life as it is and always HAVE to "make something happen" almost compulsively.
Recently I read a lot about Personality Types and I understood a lot of things about how to understand people and how i had misunderstood others in the past.

I have already said to you that you and JeffBog are like my role models and that 10 years down the line I want to be a great Architect like you. On the top of that you are an ENTJ too!!
(I guess JeffBog is alo entj - he has "live life deliberately" as signature. Or may be not..)

I remember you once said "don't forget to enjoy today".I'm really taking that advice seriously.I now spend more time with my family ,communicate a lot with my friends and parents back in India.
